Response to the Chancellor's Leeds Reforms to Financial Services in the UK

West Yorkshire Mayor Tracy Brabin has responded to the Leeds Reforms unveiled by the Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves in Leeds today (15 July)

Tracy Brabin, Mayor of West Yorkshire, said:

“Our region is home to the biggest financial services sector in England outside of London, with a thriving ecosystem of 30,000 firms employing almost 300,000 skilled people.

“Today’s announcement from the Chancellor, made in the heart of Leeds, is a major vote of confidence in the Northern Square Mile.
